I hate to ruin the excitement but this is NOT the John Lewis Christmas Commercial...John Lewis and Waitrose have re branded and the commercial is supposed to announce it.
Whist it is an enjoyable commercial in this case creativity may well have swamped the message.
I doubt the creative team responsible will see this message so I have posted a similar comment on an industry website.
