@private mail,
+add as contact I personally think it's down to the definition of gay/bi/straight.
Some say it's all to do with the carnal - ie you have sexual contact with only men (as a man), your gay. With both men and women, bi, and with only women, straight.
Some say it's down to whether you would be interested in a serious relationship with a man, woman or both.
Here, we have the view that it's to do with attraction, "fancying" men or not, etc. This is the grey area one, with difficult to define boundaries (ie some say that if you have sexual contact with someone, you fancy them).
I, personally, don't truly know. I count myself as bisexual, because I have sexual contact with men and women, and find both attractive (i.e. I fancy them - though obviously not all!). I do not, however, find the idea of a serious relationship with another man to be something I am interested in. So by some definitions I am straight.
But and the end of the day, who cares? It's down to personal opinion and view. Coming on here and slating people, and trying to tell them "hah stop being stupid, you're bisexual/gay" etc in a derisive tone is rude, and offensive. It also fits the stereotype of the "bitchy" gay man (note: I do not agree with this stereotype as a general rule, it is simply used as an underline).
Basically, who are you to tell someone else (particularly someone you don't know) what they do or do not find attractive, or what they are or are not? Live and let live. It's a good motto. Try it. |
